One of my news years resolutions was to try and not let stuff get to me as much. And I think I’m doing good at it. I’ve rarely felt like shit for a good while now. But there are times when the smallest of things can start making me feel a little shitty. Usually me thinking about something too much. I just felt like it just now. I hate its randomness. I felt like blogging about it since I’m sure I’m not alone in these feelings.

I’ve had a good day coding a website. It’s been very annoying and has taken me nearly a week to solve and iron out any problems I have faced. It’s annoying though, cos making the bloody thing work is only half the battle. I’ve got to make it look nice too… My work is never done.

What I’ve been building is a brand new podcasting system. I’ve been listening to something called “8 Bit Music” for a little while, I really like it. And I’m sure more people would if they knew it existed. So I’m going to put my radio presenter / podcasting hat on and make a showcase for it. The podcasting system I have made will generate everything for the website automatically, to the point where all I have to do it check a couple of tick boxes and hit “Save” and my code will work all the magic for me… It’ll enable me to easily list who was featured in the show and give links to their sites and stuff. Its all boring stuff but it’ll make my job a hell of a lot easier. I’m all down for automation…

I’m in a rather fanciful mood and I fancy writing a blog post. It’s up to me, it’s my blog. Anyway, I jut want to post that I’ve have been bettering myself by learning how to do more stuff with my website stuff. I have been busy coding to make it easier for musicians to have a website. Specifically I’ve been creating a way that helps musicians update their live dates on their site. I’m really proud of myself and that’s about it really.

All this coding and stuff has made me think about the Horse’s Mouth quite a bit. I’ve not done any more work on the Jack the Ripper musical. I’ve not given up on it. It’s probably the one music project I’m most proud of. In fact I want to finish it so I can do my next project and it ties up everything I’m doing at the moment. I want to do my first ever “tour”… In fact, I want to partake in a “internet tour”. I’m not sure if anybody else has done that yet but I think it might be a laugh and will test my coding abilites. I don’t want to go into details since I don’t want anybody doing it before me… Like they will but still, you can;t be too careful.

I think I’m done blogging for today, I’m gonna have a cappuccino and toast with my girlfriend then off to bed. Woo… Oh by the way I *did* say “Do Not Read This Blog”… But do you pay attention? No you bloody well don’t! For shame…

My brain is hurting quite a bit. I am trying to build my own online system for updating websites. It’s quite fun but not the most fun I’ve ever had. Basically this is my concept. I want to stop people using blogs for stuff they’re not intended for. Basically I get fed up when I go to people’s websites and it’s just a fancy blog with a cool skin. They may be using it OK but it annoys me. I am mainly trying to make a system to help mainly bands and musicians update their sites easily. It’s a bit of a headache but it’s a pet project that I hope will financially help me out a bit. I’m currently working on a gig list updater that makes it easy for bands to add live dates to their site and all that kind of thing. I wonder why I update this on my site here but I thought I would.

Ideally I want to make the perfect site for web musicians. I mean the musicians who will more than likely never venture out live but are willing to do in front of a webcam. I reckon it’s a nice goal to have and again I wonder why I mention it here. But I’ll be honest, why shouldn’t it? This is my blog, I can out whatever I want on here… Just wanted to get that off my chest.
